The process begins with a free 15-minute consultation call where we discuss what’s bringing you to therapy and what your goals for therapy are. I will tell you more about myself, how I work, and answer any additional questions you may have. If we both decide to move forward, we schedule a weekly session time. You do not need to decide if you want to move forward during the consultation call. I encourage all potential clients to “shop around” and take their time to find the therapist that’s the best fit. The first session will be an intake session where I will gather more information about your history and the challenges that are bringing you to therapy. In subsequent sessions, we will work towards your goals.

I require meeting weekly for the first month of treatment to build a strong therapeutic relationship and make steady progress towards your treatment goals (although I recommend weekly until you notice a decrease in distressing symptoms). As you progress in therapy, you may feel the need to attend less frequently and can transition to biweekly sessions if clinically indicated. I do not meet with clients less frequently than biweekly. In my clinical opinion, meeting less frequently than biweekly makes therapy less effective because the sessions become more of a catchup instead of an opportunity to apply behavioral and cognitive skills learned in sessions.

I am currently paneled with Lyra Health but do not accept other insurance plans at this time. I can provide monthly superbills that can be submitted to insurance for potential reimbursements . I am happy to check your insurance benefits and provide an estimate of what you could be reimbursed. You can also reach out to your insurance provider directly. Ask your provider, “What is your reimbursement rate for out of network procedure code 90834?”.

The law requires health care providers give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services. Good Faith Estimates are an estimate of expected charges before you receive a service.
Good Faith Estimates are sent to you after booking your intake appointment, and you will be able to find this document on your patient portal.
