Anxiety

What it looks like:

You often feel on edge, restless, or afraid, even in situations that generally wouldn’t evoke these types of emotions. Or you’re in a situation that does warrant anxiety, but the anxiety feels excessive and debilitating. These lingering emotions may keep you from accomplishing important goals or make daily living more difficult than it needs to be.


How I Help:

We work together to differentiate between functional and unproductive anxiety, identify and challenge beliefs that enhance your anxiety, build skills to tolerate the anxiety (because anxiety is a part of the human experience that will never fully go away - nor do we want it to), and, when appropriate, face your fears to reduce the grip anxiety holds on you.
