What it looks like:

You continue to engage in behaviors that you know work against your best interest. Despite the desire to change, these behaviors feel automatic and out of your control. You may not even realize you are doing the unwanted behavior until you are in the middle of it or completed it.


How I Help:

Together we work to build insight around the behaviors, specifically when it started, how it serves you, and what situations push you to engage in the behavior. We also explore if there are unmet needs or lingering emotions driving these behaviors. Then we work on disrupting the automatic behavioral loop in order to give yourself the option to make different decisions when the desire to engage in the behavior inevitably arises. Finally we identify alternative behaviors and coping skills that are less destructive that can be used in place of the behaviors you want to avoid.
