People Pleasing

What it looks like:

Disappointing others feels terrifying and maybe a little dangerous, so you put the needs of others well before your own. You do this by saying yes to commitments you don’t want to keep, taking extreme measures to not seem like a burden, and avoiding sharing your opinions and ideas. This leads to stress, burnout, resentment, and, extreme cases, keeps you from deeply knowing yourself.

How I Help:

Together we work to understand why disappointing others feels so dangerous, learn how to effectively set boundaries and practice tolerating the discomfort of setting them, and engage in self-exploration to become more attuned to your needs and desires.
